New Field Farm's Online Market:  Salad mix, lettuce, and more

Greetings,

Such weather we’ve had! This roller coaster has made for a bumpy start and it may be take a few weeks to get into a regular harvest rhythm, but we do have a few more items to offer this week.

*PLEASE ORDER BY THURSDAY MORNING JUNE 15 AT 8:00 AM.

DUE TO A LATE AFTERNOON OBLIGATION ON FRIDAY, ORDERS WILL BE READY FOR PICK UP AT THE FARM BY 3:30 AND AT UNION MILL BY 4:00.

There’s some nice lettuce and the first cutting of salad mix from the field. The scallions are from the hoophouse where the voles got first dibs on them, but thoughtfully left us some. They weren’t so considerate about the early carrots in the hoophouse.

The cherry tomatoes in the greenhouse are just coming in so we can offer a small amount to start.

And the basil is still growing well in the greenhouse, while the first flush of eggplant is over, with more to come later.

All in all, the field crops are looking good, despite the cold and rain. And heat. Just a little slow in growth.

Thanks and enjoy,
Tim

Lake Placid Online Farmer's Market:  June Market Reminder

Hi All,

To those of you who live in Lake Placid…what a Sunday yesterday, right? At least the power failure was shorter, and in much more appealing weather, than the one in February.

If you were delayed from ordering from the market due to the power failure, this is just a friendly reminder to please order by 10 pm tonight, at which point ordering is closed until the next market period in July.

Also, if you have ordered or plan on ordering, please ensure you can pick up your items promptly on Wednesday. Due to family emergency, we will be leaving Wednesday evening so cannot store food past then. If you need to make special pickup arrangements before then, please let me know. Otherwise, I will call/email when the food arrives.

Have a nice week!
Christie

Old99Farm Market:  Hay mang today Monday

I have a few helpers thank you indeed for the hearty early response from you. We got the hay cut and baled on the weekend.

Now a few hours to load the wagon and move it to the barn is all that’s left. I could really use a couple of you to come for about 2 hours today starting at 11am. Or when you can.

A couple people on the wagon and a couple in the barn makes it easy on every one.

I thank you all,

Ian
