Champaign, OH:  Hello, Again!

Short and sweet, tonight, as your market manager is tired, and heading to some much needed rest…

I am opening the market, again, for the week. You will see your favorite growers, coming and going in the next month or so. They are working on product, we are all getting ready for the growing season, some are waiting on sun filled days for green house growth, others are waiting on Mother Nature. We are looking forward to the arrival of the dairy producer, and we are looking forward to days of sun, warmth, and produce…

It will all come back…just be patient with us, and order what we do have…

We will love you, forever…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Please take a moment to find out what’s happening at our market!

Suwanee Whole Life Co-op:  Additional location in Suwanee

(There’s a lot of information and this will be 1 of many emails I will send out regarding the additional location. I don’t want to overload you all with too much info at one time but PLEASE READ!)

I’m very excited to announce that we are extending our roots and will have a 2nd location in Suwanee! I’m hoping to have first pick up at this location mid-March (more details to come). Tanya, from Cultured Traditions just built a new commercial kitchen in the Plaza at Suwanee Station and offered us some space to host pick up at her location. Pick up day at this location will be Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm.

New Ordering Website coming soon!
We will have 2 separate market websites soon. The Buford ordering site will be www.buford.locallygrown.net This site is NOT YET ACTIVE. If you already know that you will continue to pick up in Buford, you can go ahead and create an account on the www.buford.locallygrown.net market site. I will transfer over your membership status. You will continue to order on the Suwanee.locallygrown.net website until the new Buford site active.

Where is the additional location?
The Plaza at Suwanee Station (Near Sherry’s Fabrics)
1300 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suite 1104
Suwanee, Georgia 30024

*After turning into the Plaza at Suwanee Station from Peachtree Industrial, take the first left, then we are on the right in the fourth space (Suite 1104). This entrance is NOT THE ONE that takes you to FRESH MARKET, it’s the other shopping center where the Urgent Care and Sherry’s Fabrics is in.

Can I order on Buford market site and pick up in Suwanee?
NO, Buford location pick up will remain Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. You must pick up from the market you are ordering. I will not bring items not picked up on Tuesday to the Suwanee pick up.

Will you have the same vendors at the additional location?
Right now, all vendors except B&G Farms, Rocky Acres, and Wagon Wheel will list on the new Suwanee market. B&G Farms, Rocky Acres, and Wagon Wheel will continue to be on the Buford website. Also, Nature’s Garden Express will remain at the Buford market but we will have Fresh Harvest, www.freshharvestga.com , as our produce box vendor at new location in Suwanee. Fresh Harvest will be offering a co-op discounted organic produce basket. More details about produce baskets coming soon.

Will I have to pay another membership if I switch over to ordering/pick up in Suwanee?
NO, there will be no changes to your membership.

What is the name of the new market location?
Starting in March the location in Suwanee will be Suwanee Whole Life Co-op and our current location in Buford will be named Buford Locally Grown. I’ve been wanting to change our name for some time to represent that we are in Buford to make it easier for folks to locate us. I want everyone to know that I have no intention of shutting down the Buford location. I will continue to grow and expand both markets!

Please send me any other questions you have! I will have more information soon.
Thank you all for your support!!

Old99Farm Market:  Old 99 Farm, week of feb 5 2017

It’s wednesday and only two days till market, big rain yesterday eliminated remaining snow as we head back to subzero temps for a while. Normal for this time of year is -2 to -13, and the range of record high lows is +6 to -21.

The potatoes are keeping well in the cold cellar, there are carrots in the ground in the greenhouse, nice crisp and sweet. Still no greens, so sorry.

Lots of meats in the freezers and lots of eggs. Will offer a dollar off if you buy three dozen or more. I was in Goodness Me the other day, their top line eggs were $6.75 for large dozen. We’re $6 for Extra Large!

Healthy eating,
Ian and Cami
