Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market:  This Week at the Market

We are back this week to bring you some new items. Lots of tomatoes means sauce! Look for our fresh Roasted Garlic Tomato Basil Sauce in jars or on the Zucchini Rolls we have listed. We are just about done with the fig harvest so there is plenty of Fig Jam now listed. If we can get any more fresh bags by Saturday they will be in the stand.
I was able to get some planting done this weekend. Turnips, beets, rutabaga, carrots, several varieties of kale, swiss chard, collards and several varieties of lettuces were planted for fall harvest. I will be adding more squash, cucumber, green onions, peas, beans, and broccoli.

Thank you all for the well wishes this week. My husband is home and trying to recover. It will be a long road and your continued prayers are really appreciated at this time.

Farmher Chef Amy

LAST WEEK FOR PEACHES! But apples are here and there will be changing varieties over the coming weeks.

DIRTY APRON IS OUT THIS WEEK but will be back next week.

Good selection of vegies. Be sure you check back. Our growers may be adding additional items later in the ordering period. This has been a very difficult weather season for most vegies, including tomatoes and green beans. However our growers replanted and hope to offer more in the coming weeks.

Special dietary needs? Check out our gluten free and vegan bakery goods plus items from our local seitan maker. We speak from personal experience that all of these items are delicious and would please anyone no matter what their dietary needs are.

Local eggs available. Honey available. Meats available (including lamb, pork and chicken). Check out local jams, locally roasted coffee and local kombucha. Fresh tamales are also back this week! These are delivered warm on Thursday just before pickup, so if you don’t feel like cooking on Thursday this is one option. They will also keep fine in your frig until you are ready for them.

All of our bakers have GREAT variety right now—including sweet treats, cookies, pastries, breads and other goodies.

And don’t forget about our craft folks who sell online. Cards, wooden items, leather goods, art prints, and more.

SEARCHING TIP: On large categories such as baked goods, meats or vegetables, click on the category to get a drop down of specific items in that category.

HOW TO CHECK ITEMS FROM A PARTICULAR SELLER? Scroll down on left side until you see “show specific growers”. If all the boxes are checked, you can click on “reverse all” then click the boxes on or off of those sellers you want to see. Then click “show specific growers” again.

BUYING TIP: If you see items that you want but not much available, order and pay and then log back in and continue shopping. Your orders will be combined and you will only be charged once.

DELIVERY OPTION IS AVAILABLE FOR FAYETTEVILLE ZIP CODES BUT MUST BE REQUESTED WHEN YOU ORDER OR NO LATER THAN THURS 9 AM.

SENIOR COUPONS: can be used and matched online. Before you order, please reply to this email to let us know you want to do this.

SNAP CUSTOMERS ONLY: you may choose pay at pickup and bring your EBT card on Thursday. We will swipe your card and match up to $50 of your order. NOTE: please do not bring tokens or match cards to pickup at the online market.

NOTE: New customers and orders always welcome—no minimum order required, no weekly order required.

TIPS:

1) Sellers sometimes add more products later in the ordering period, so be sure to check back. The product list changes each week, even from the same seller, so it’s worth exploring the categories you are interested in.

2) Multiple orders from you at different times will be automatically combined into one order before pickup and you will only be charged once.

PICKUP LOCATION:
The OUTDOOR parking area at the south end of the new part of the Fayetteville Public Library. Follow the line of cars towards the building and stay in your car in line while we get your order.

Berea Gardens:  Market News

Hello Friends,

From now and through the month of September we will not be taking online orders. We will still be doing our Wednesday market and will have lots of product on our table, but we have a number of building projects to work on and I need to place my focus there for a few weeks. Tom and Kenny will also continue to come and Melody and Dan will be returning September 7 to meet your other needs. I will be offering lots of potatoes, onions, peppers and some other odds and ends each week. We have already planted a lot of our fall crops and when we resume with our online ordering in October there will be our usual palette of cabbage, broccoli, kale, cauliflower, lettuce, beets, turnips and more. We intend to continue the market until Thanksgiving again this year. We look forward to your continued support and hope to see you on Wednesday’s.

Blessings,
Bob & Lynnita
