Dawson Local Harvest:  Get Your Juicer Ready! Big Carrot Sale!

Dawson Harvest for June 23es

Get Your Juicer Ready! Big Carrot Sale!

HI EVERYBODY!

We’re at that point approaching Summer where it gets too hot for cool-weather Vegetables. The Good News for You is we had to pick all of those veggies, including Carrots! LEILANI’S has put all the Carrots ON SALE for just $2.50 a pound. Here’s your opportunity to stock up and make lots of delicious and nutritious Carrot Juice.

Have you had a chance to try some of the great new products from CULTURAL TRADITIONS? I tried their Carrot-Ginger Jun and it is excellent. Jun is a type of komboucha, but Tanya makes hers with fermented green-tea and honey instead of black-tea and sugar. It’s very hard to describe, but quite interesting and refreshing, and it’s very good for you as well. Give it a try; it’s in the Fermented/Probiotic Products section.

Last week I mentioned SHADY ACRES FARM as a new vendor to The Market. They give us an additional resource for free-range chemical-free non-GMO Eggs. They’ll also contribute more and different varieties of all-natural Fruit and Vegetables to The Market as we get into July. Welcome, SHADY ACRES.

Don’t forget FIVE HENS FARMS has once again added Bone-in Pork Chops to their listings in Meats.

THE MARKET IS NOW OPEN!

REMEMBER! You can now order until Tuesday night at 9 pm. Pick up your order at Leilani’s Gardens Friday afternoons from 4 to 6 pm.

You’ll find the DAWSON LOCAL HARVEST at http://dawsonville.locallygrown.net

We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible! We guarantee your satisfaction with all products in the DAWSON LOCAL HARVEST.

Have a happy and healthy week!

CLG:  Opening Bell: Berries, Peppers, Summer Squash, Corn!

Good afternoon!

Check out all the goodies from Hardin Farms! Pinto Beans, Pickling Cucumbers, Corn, Squash, etc. Since they are farther away than our other Growers, they only list when they have lots to offer. Please order their items to make their trip worthwhile, and to show them how much we appreciate all the work they do!

If you are late in getting your garden started, there are still some plants listed. At Cedar Rock Ridge, most plants are available for $1 or so. That’s cheaper than at Wal-Mart or Lowe’s. Pineapple sage, stevia, marigolds, etc.

This is the time of year when we see new items every week so be sure to search for your favorite items using the search field.

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

Check out over 650 wonderful items listed right now. See you on Friday!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

The market is now OPEN for orders. Click here to start shopping:

Please check your email a few minutes after you place your order to make sure you get an order confirmation. Thank you for being a valuable part of CLG!
